tampere art museum – rewarded

A playful use of the roof makes it a place to stay, relax, or party. Like a geologic outcrop, it rises from the site. It creates sectional variety as visitors move down through the levels, transitioning from a gently curved surface to a more rectilinear geometry. The roof’s warm wood material is inviting to touch while as a sculptural object, it acts as an icon and welcoming sign for the museum’s cultural events and programs.
