sundvall “kultursten” – 3. prize

The city of Sundsvall, known as the Stone City or Stendstad, is organized on a block grid. Facades are strictly aligned to the street while interior courtyards are intricate and nuanced. The proposed concert and cultural house follows this organization, with a hard stone exterior complemented by a softer, complex, wooden interior. It is the KulturStenen in Sundsvall.
